Chengdu Museum of Wumu-Art Introduction
 
       成都乌木艺术博物馆坐落于世界双文化遗产名城都江堰，占地80余亩, 由卢泓杰先生于2000年12月创办。是世界首家以研究乌木文化、对乌木实施挖掘和保护、进行乌木艺术品创作和收藏的公益性专题博物馆。
       The Chengdu Museum of Wumu-Art is located in the dual World Heritage city of Dujiangyan. Covering 80 acres, it was founded in December 2000 by Mr. Lu Hong Jie, who is a famous artist from Taiwan. The Chengdu Museum of Wumu-Art is the world's first non-profit museum dedicated to researching wumu culture, implementing wumu excavation, protection, and conducting wumu creation and collection.
 
       博物馆的宗旨是——乌木源于自然，遵循自然法则，主张天地人和谐，弘扬中华优秀传统文化。

       博物馆的一期展馆以扇形巧妙的按照《河图》、《洛书》进行布局。寓意宇宙万物的发生和发展，充分展现乌木艺术的奇特魅力；二期展馆带领人们走进亘古文明，探索远古真理，更加详细系统地介绍乌木的形成与演变。

       博物馆藏品既有大自然的鬼斧神工之作，也有艺术家的巧夺天工之作，2001年原全国人大委员长乔石到馆参观亲笔题写馆名，并为乌木题词“天府瑰宝”。

       他是一名来自宝岛台湾的成功商人，从小喜欢自然，尤其对天然的石、木、贝壳等有特别爱好，喜欢探险，探索人类未知的事物，上山下海，探索自然的奥妙。

       他曾做过房地产业、兰草生意，从1991年在成都金堂偶然发现第一块乌木开始，从此与乌木结下了不解之缘，开始“倾家以情”搜集乌木，多年来始终致力于乌木和乌木作品的收藏与保护，现已有上千件乌木藏品，他被授予“世界华人杰出艺术家”荣誉称号，被称为“乌木领头人”。

       他开设乌木博物馆的想法始于1996年，他要以乌木为文化载体，希望能做到永恒的留存，去阐释人与自然无限空间与价值。通过多年的艰辛付出，他斥资3000多万元于2000年12月，创办了世界首家以研究乌木文化、对乌木实施挖掘和保护、进行乌木艺术品创作和收藏的公益性大型主题民办博物馆——成都乌木艺术博览馆，同时它也是一个重要的世界环保文化教育基地，已于2011年8月29日在都江堰青城大道中兴镇正式对外开放，并挂牌成为成都市科普教育基地。

       他创建成都乌木艺术博览馆的另一重要意义在于，为开启古蜀文明的“黑匣子”找到了一把钥匙。他说，“乌木是自然环境变迁的亲历者和见证者，是远古原始森林硕果仅存的自然遗存，也是古代巴蜀大地地理环境结构的特有生态文化产物。通过对乌木的分析与研究，可以了解远古巴蜀植物种类的状况，并从中认识当时的气候、水源以及与其相关的其他自然因素，从而从另一个角度去佐证古蜀文明的演变进程。”
